Although Mont Saint Michel is impressive in every way, I may almost enjoy the Beauport Abbey a bit more. It’s not as touristy, the grounds are lush and the other visitors speak in hushed voices. It’s a wonderful place for a stroll and to marvel at the old buildings.
Your photos really convey the peace and beauty of this place! I absolutely agree with you St. Michel is stunning but nearly Disneyland, and so crowded.
Yes, I remember the Beauport Abbey so well and seeing these beautiful photos brings back that wonderful memory of our time in Brittany.
Great photos! I agree, the abbey ruins are amazing and one of the best places to take photos. I’m so glad that we had the opportunity to go there.
Looks like the perfect place for a stroll and some lovely photos! Love all the old doors, in particular.
