Yesterday I woke up to a blanket of snow, this morning it was hoarfrost. And then the sun came out. In the early morning while the light was still soft, I walked out with my camera to capture the fields and the beautiful flora. I always look forward to hoarfrost. It seems to me that it accentuates the lines of things it clings to: the veins in leaves, the petals of lingering flowers, tree bark, grass. It also makes everything glisten in the sun, like millions of little diamonds.
These photos are the epitome of winter! Gorgeous!
